Pins are *evil*
by Sam I Am
Pins
Pure, unadulterated
can't-wash-it-out-of-your-hair
evil
Not just a touch of it
(as Orson Welles might hope)
but gobs and gobs piled on,
draining wallets,
pricking fingers,
evil
Trading, buying, selling
manifestations of Eisner
avoid the evil
beware the lure
of the pins
pinned men tell no tales
(I was wondering if anyone agreed with me - guess not.)
Sam,
Not being a pin trader per se, I can't really comment on your post...
However, it does come right around the time that I released the DisneyWorldTrivia.com trading pin here: http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/shop.html![]()
so I guess you can see where I stand![]()

I enjoy collecting them. But only certain ones. Fav attractions/characters etc. have about 100 right now. not many though.
100 is not many?! I think I have like 10 (and the pin part is broken off of several of them because the display board they were on fell off the wall).
This space designated as a DRAMA FREE ZONE
I don't really collect them and trade them - just a few choice ones.
But keeping it that way (and keeping my money for rent, food, and so on) is quite difficult thanks to the evilness of the pins. You don't need to be a pin collector to know how evil their allure is.
Thank goodness the new DisneyWorldTrivia.com pin is the anti-evil pin... For just five bucks, you can ward off evil pins (and look pretty good, too)![]()

I never got into the pin trading... I think out of an inherent fear of how I would just spin out of control trying to get a complete collection!![]()

I like to buy pins, but I refuse to trade them. I buy pins that mean something to me, and I only have 1 full lanyard. Nothing compulsive...yet.
Oh God, you made me look!
According to Pinpics, we have over 4000 pins in our collection, and about 550 traders!!
Is that why we don't have any room in our house anymore?
If you are not familiar with Pinpics, then check it out. If Disney pins are evil, then Pinpics (www.pinpics.com) is the encyclopedia of evil!

I hardly think evil is the correct term for Disney Pins. We have thoroughly enjoyed collecting Disney pins for the past 4 1/2 years. The great friends I have met through Pin Trading I would have never met any other way and I wouldn't trade any of them! We do have quite a few pins by now and the collection is growing all the time.
