Just an update on Dayton Disneyana Event.

Dayton Disneyana is a Disney Pin Trading + a Show & Sale of Disneyana Collectibles + special Disney Guest Event, which will be held on Saturday June 25th & Sunday June 26th. The origin of Dayton Disneyana, started out when Tom Tumbusch (of Disneyana Update & Disney Pin Trading Guide fame) invited a couple of dozen pin traders to his house, where they traded pins in his backyard with an amazing water garden as a backdrop. The Dayton Plane Crazy Chapter kind of took it over and expanded it the next year.

The event four years ago had 32 vendor tables of Disneyana, where it stayed until last year where we had 53 tables of collectibles along with tables set-up for pin traders to enjoy their love. This year we have moved again to the Holiday Inn - Dayton Mall (which will be changing its brand to a Wyndham Garden Hotel on June 1st, just to warn everyone in case they are concerned about reward points.) This will allow us to expand to up to 62 vendor tables of Disney collectibles. The hotel will be completely renovated prior to the event. Renovated hotel rooms, banquet and meeting rooms, pool area, front desk, common areas, so if you decide to stay overnight, you will be basically staying in a brand new hotel. When you make reservations, mention that you are here for the Disneyana Event and you will get the special rate of $79 + taxs per night.

The pin Trading area is 24'x50' and will have ten, 8' long tables set up. We should be able to fit up to 60 pin traders at anyone time. Pin Trading room will open up at 5:00pm Friday, June 24th and stay open till the event closes on Sunday at 3:00pm. There also is a huge (and I mean huge) pool area if more space is needed, if we exceed the room capacity.

If you really like a Disney Character and I mean really, really like one...come in costume on Saturday and we will have our special guest judge at 5pm. We only ask that you come a few hours earlier, so that we all can see your take on that special one.

The event opens up each day at 10:00am and closes at 6:00pm on Saturday and 3:00pm on Sunday, with an Early Bird admission at 9:00am on Saturday, for those that pre-register.

We have also added a special ticketed event for Friday night, which will be dinner with our Disney Guest. Seating is limited, so pre-register for this asap, if you are interested.

Past events have brought Disney Fans from as many as 12 states and Canada with many coming back each year.

If you want to make it a mini vacation, we have the Lion King being performed at the Shuster Center in Downtown Dayton during that time, the National Air Force Museum (FREE!) where, with a keen eye one can spot a few Disney related items and for those coaster fans...Kings Island is about 30 minutes southeast.
