Pixie - First - WELCOME to the boards!
second, while I do not collect pins, my daughter has really gotten into it. My favorite (of the ones she has collected so far) are the windows that open to reveal a princess inside. Not sure what they are called... but she has a few of them.
What is your favorite Pixie?

Adam...I have the tinkerbell one with the little windows! They are so cute and are called the Hinged Princess Pins! I love any of them that are bit unusual.
Hmm...well...It is all Pirate's fault for getting me (and EVERYONE ELSE in my family) addicted. I would have to say the most treasued ones are my pins from the Princess Ball. It has a special Walt Pin, all the Princesses and the Princes. Took forever to find each one of them, but I have the entire set!
I love just about ANY tinkerbell pin...and..am thinking of collecting ride attraction pins next. I like the trading part alot, as it opens doors to talk to some of the COOLEST CM's!

I simply adore all my cats, I have 28 DIFFERENT Disney cats that I found by trading, mostly with CMs, and always looking for new ones, but I've since moved onto dogs cause the well is running dry.

My favorite pins are my Figment pins. I got four of them the week the Imagination ride re-opened with my favorite purple dragon!!

Now I havent started collecting pins - but I do have several - I have the 101 dalmations tin set that came out 10 years ago and I always buy a tink pin while I am there - I have the hinged Tink compact looking one with the latern on the front - love that one - but I think my favorite is Tink that says in the limelight -- you know the whole theatre thing - that one is great!

Last time I got one you make yourself. That was fun but a little expensive. I generally buy a pin that represents something special. This Christmas we were in Epcot so I bought my son the Epcot Christmas pin. We'll always remember where we were when we got that one.

I'm not really into the whole trading aspect of it. guess I just don't get it? I do have several pins, but I tend to only spend my money on certain ones that I really like. I have a framed peice of cork board that I painted in Disney-ish colors and i stick my pins on there. If I stay on property I will usually get one for my resort. other than that i just grab the ones that are of my fave characters or that have a great design.

I don't trade much either, just collect. I do buy the cheap ones from teh stores and keep a few handy to trade with cast.

Oh I forgot about trading.. There are some guests who don't realize that some Cms in operations positions sometimes don't have the time to trade at the moment - there are several parts of park operation that are far far more important.
