We got the phone call early this morning that Brian's (my husband) grandmother passed away this morning. I mentioned before our trip that we were thinking about postponing it because she had been ill with brain tumors.
Please pray for his family and his grandfather. They have been married for over 60 years and never apart. It will definately be tough today.
Any loss like that is hard, but especially so during the holidays.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thank you everyone. I don't think you can ever really "prepare" for something like this, but it didn't really catch us off guard either. It was just really hard for Brian's mother and his grandfather to wake up to that on Christmas day. They have been making arrangements today. We are so thankful that she isn't in pain anymore. She was very coherent and aware of everything going on up till the end. Her hospice nurse was with her when she passed and said she smiled with her last breath. Her youngest grandson (Brian's brother) got engaged the day before and he was able to share that news with her.
I appreciate all of your prayers. You can never have too many prayers.
