Pixie Dust please..

So I got a letter from my only college choice today telling me that I was not accepted. This is not good as I did not apply to any other colleges (this is the one I really wanted to go to) So now I need some pixie dust to help me figure out what I am going to do next semester... Thanks!

Sorry to hear your news. Did they say why, and is it something you can work on and re-apply next year? I didn't get the grades I needed to go to the University I had set my heart on, so took a year out,worked to get some money, re-sat my exams and went a year later. When my brother was in a similar situation he went through what is known in the UK as 'clearing' - when you phone round lots of places to see where could take you. Do they have a similar system in the US? I also agree with the above - most things happen for a reason, and I am sure it will all work out in the end.

Ok so I thought I would give an update... I was accepted to a college in FLORIDA!!!! WDW here i come!! so I guess my circumstances have drastically changed for the better....

Well, after I got the "bad letter" i was rushing around looking for a college and my really good friend suggested one. So i looked it up and applied, got accepted, but not only that, I am getting an almost full ride!!! GO ME!!!!

So yes, you can say I told you so.....

Keep your head up. My friends brother didn't get accepted into his first choice, and like you, he didn't apply any where else. But, then out of the blue, the president of Yale called him and got a full ride scholarship. anything can happen :]

Glad to hear your good news! How fun for you! I am still waiting to hear about the doctoral program I want. Just waiting is killing me but my time isn't their time!
