Anna survived a lengthy surgery in NY recently, but the options open to her are shriveling up. She had over 12 oz. of fluid drained from cysts that sprung up due to the surgery and were pushing on her lungs and kidney. She is breathing more comfortably, but an MRI completed on Wednesday showed increased cancer growth in all areas; knee, scalp, shoulder, abdomen, and femur. Diarrhea is slowing, but has been present for weeks. Her family has been amazingly strong through this year of agony; spending many weeks and months in the hospital by her side. Please continue to keep them all in your prayers.

Virginia, I will continue to keep Anna and her family in my thoughts and prayers. It just breaks my heart to hear of little ones going through things like this. Makes me so appreciative that I have 2 healthy boys and pray that they always stay that way!

Oh that poor little girl. May God be with her and her family in this time of terrible hardship and send them strength. She will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope things turn out for the best.

I just learned that Anna lost her battle with neuroblastoma cancer yesterday. She was 3 years old. Anna was at home with her family and died suddenly. Tests in the last couple of days on her kidney had been encouraging, but obviously her little body just couldn't take the beating all the medication was throwing at it.
I was astounded by the deep faith the family showed throughout Anna's illness. They never gave up hope that God would grant them a miracle and heal their little girl, yet they also accepted His will be done. The family never showed resentment that their child was being ravaged by this disease nor how their lives had been turned upside down by long hospital stays and huge medical expenses. They knew the odds were not in Anna's favor, but truly believed that Anna was still with them so long due to the power of prayer.

My most heartfelt condolences to her family, friends & to you too mini-V.
God has another Angel in heaven, unfortunately much sooner than hoped by all who cherished her.
God bless.

I agree. I think she was under care for over 13 months. I'm sure that as much as their lives were turned around when Anna was first diagnosed, the family will have the same adjustments to make now that she no longer physically with them.

Oh Virginia....I was so sorry to read this. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family even more during this very difficult time. Peace be with Anna.
