P & P For My Mom.......

Tuesday evening my step-dad took my mom to the ER cause she wasn't feeling well. I had just gotten off the phone with her not even 10 minutes before so it came upon her quite suddenly. They were at the ER for almost 4 hours doing tests and stuff. So today she and I got to have lunch together and catch up. She had been suffering from heartburn for almost 2 weeks and right before she called my step-dad on Tuesday to come get her, her heart started "going bananas" (her words) and she got numb in both her arms. So now the doctors have her on a heart monitor for 30 days, it keeps track of her heart rate and sends an alert when it either drops below 40 or goes over 120 (I think). And then she's having a stress test done in 2 weeks. Right now they know what's wrong with her but they don't know what's causing it. She doesn't smoke or drink, she eats fairly healthy and excercises when she can, and there isn't any family history of cardiac issues that I know of. Right now we can use all the prayers and pixie dust we can that the doctors find out what's bothering her heart and get her on the right meds or whatever it takes.

Thanks everyone! She's doing well, if you weren't told, you wouldn't even know she's sick. She's still her bubbly self, going to work and playing with our dogs...all we can do now is wait till they do more tests.
