Yeah, I am doing a bit better I suppose, but its still a bit unreal. Classes were cancelled all next week, so hopefully it will give the Northern community a chance to heal and just be appreciative for everday life. Again, thank you everyone for your support, not only by wanting to make sure I was ok, but for your kind words about the people affected as well.

I echo all these sentiments Nick. I have been off campus since Thursday and will probably not be going back till Tuesday. I have to say it will be hard just walking on campus and even just being in DeKalb. Part of me is just ready to see all my classmates again.

Happy to hear from you too. It must be difficult being in Limbo. Can't imagine what it is like for the students that had to stay on campus with it basically being shuttered for over a week. It must be Eire. I'm sure there are a great deal of logistics that the administration must work out and where to hold all those classes that were in that immediate area. How horrible. I just read the interview with the girlfriend of the shooter and former NIU student attending U of I currently. She needs some prayers too. So much pain for many.

Healing thoughts to all of you at NIU and families. Strength to parents of students as they start to return to campus. Hope you all band together and become closer and stronger. You two take good care of yourselves. If you need some Pixie Dust we are always around.

We had a funeral the day before yesterday in the next town over from me and that Postmaster called to thank me for reminding her.

I know I'm a bit late on this, but I just wanted to say that it's really nice to see this thread. I live on the south side of Chicago, and I was stunned by what happened at Northern. You never expect it to happen by you, you know? At least there will always be nice folks at disneyworldtrivia to keep tabs on each other.
