Adult daycare for the kid inside you.
WAHOO NAT! Thanks for the text message letting me know! I didn't want to steal your thunder so I stayed away from the thread until you had time to post! I did however have to spill the beans to T-Nina since she called like 1 minute after I received your TM!![]()
HAHAH...so everyone's ready for the Return of the Trip Report huh? Good thing I got a good memory. The rest will be filled with just as many oozy juicy details as the first 2 days. I'm a little excessive in my descriptions aren't I?
I'm about as All-American as they come!
*Natalie*Must get a new trip on the books! I'm dyin' here!
Ahh I've missed you guys. I'm glad I'm not locked up in my dungeon, er, room any more!

Natalie, have you already mentioned what's your nursing specialty?
And as far as trip reports, the more details the better!![]()

I'm graduating with my bachelors but I want to specialize and get my CNS or NP in Psych. I work in Private Practice right now for a Psychiatrist and two therapists and I absolutely love Mental Health. Call me crazy (hehe) but it's my passion.

LOL...nice pun. That's great that you have something you're passionate about! Definitely makes life and work much better to be doing things you enjoy. My wife is an ER NP. She suggested getting your NP in Psych as far as it's better long-term. But, she's not sure about how it is in your state. In MD, NP is better than CNS at least as far as seeing patients in a private practice.
And I know she enjoyed being a nurse (in the ER) for a number of years to acclimated to being a nurse before going back to school. I'm sure you're probably not in a rush to go back to school?
Also, now that you're in the medical field, I HIGHLY recommend looking at medical conferences at WDW. In February 2007, Shannon went to a Children's Hospital of Philadephia conference at WDW (which she loved!). And this May, she's going to an NPACE medical conference. And of course, I'm tagging along. WOO HOO!! Anyways, we've been able to travel a lot (not just at WDW either) and either write half of the trip off or get continuing education money from her work...it's a great benefit of the medical field! And something I wasn't aware of until Shannon started doing more research for it. Because nurses (and NPs) need to always keep current. Why not learn it at fun places?
But whatever you do, CONGRATS!!![]()

Congrats! I just found this thread but my cousin just went through the same thing last fall with trying to pass so she could graduate with her nursing degree as well. I remember how stressed she was. Reminded me of 2 years ago when I was bogged down with the CPA exam. The good thing is you will never have to study again (except for continuing education credits)!
Oklahoma doesn't require Continuing Education to maintain your RN Licensure, so we would have to pay out-of-pocket to attend any conferences related to my wife's RN continuing education.
I can tell you one thing, when it's not required, there really isn't any motivation to do it.
