The HESI Exit Exam

So I know that this post is trivial compared to the other very serious topics here, but I would really really appreciate some extra prayers regarding my HESI exit exam. It's like the ACT of nursing only if I don't pass, I don't graduate, and right now, the thought that my last 4 years of effort come down to one test is scaring the daylights outta me. Thanks so much. I know God's listening

As the spouse of a Registered Nurse who took the HESI exam back in 2006, my best wishes are with you.

How did you do on the practice exam. My wife had to take a pre-HESI at some point and she rocked the socks off it. But when it came time to take the HESI, she was a nervous wreck.

But from what I've heard each school sets their own pass/fail line.

All they want is to make sure you can pass the NCLEX, but that doesn't diminish the stress

What an awesome awesome set of friends I have here at DWT. Ray, you can appreciate my anxiety right now. Unfortunately, the Medical University of Ohio doesn't offer a practice HESI. You either pass or you don't....so you either get your degree or you don't. That's what makes this all so frightening.

I just talked to my wife at work and she told me she only got a practice HESI because she was in a pilot program of an accelerated Nursing BSN program where you got your degree in over two summers and a spring/fall semester (I think it came out to 13 months or something like that). It was only for people who already had a bachelor's degree.

In order to keep their funding, they had to have a high NCLEX pass rate AND high graduation rate. So they needed to make sure as many people passed the HESI.
