Deaths in Iowa tornadoes

Since some of our members live in and near the flooding areas, and we have all heard about the tragic deaths associated with the current weather series, I though it would be nice to show our support and encouragement to all of the families dealing with so many burdens in these parts of America.

Thanks for starting this thread Chris. I was going to start one but I just have not had the time..

I am sure after last night there are a lot of families that need your thoughts and prayers... There is the boy scout troop in Counsil Bluffs that lost 4 of their members in the tornados last night and also a young kid (21 years old) that lost his life in NW Iowa when he was struck by lightning!

And with the rising waters it is causing a lot of damage to houses, business and has affected over half of the counties in our state.. I hope all of you will continue to pray with me that the flooding goes down and the families will get some closure and blessings after all the losses we have experienced in the past month and a half.

Just an update from the Iowa News Channel about the boy scout troop that were hit.. All 4 people that died were kids. My thoughts and prayers are with their families. Here is a list of the names and ages:

Josh Fennen, 13, Omaha, NE
Sam Thomsen, 13, Omaha, NE
Ben Petrzilka, 14, Omaha, NE

According to the morning national news:

As of this morning, the rivers have crested and they are waiting to what happens next. One commentator/flood specialist said some of the affected areas may never be recovered, that that will be the rivers new location. over 36,000 are homeless and some are still unaccounted for, may they have fair weather and fast help in all of these areas.
