Just discovered that the doctor's office here has not even tried to contact a doctor. They have only had the referral half day yesterday and half day today. And she just now is getting to it.
I hope you find out soon Gae!!! It's always good to have information... and its always good if they START to help you!
Gae I'm sending tons of P&P your way. I have low blood sugar problems myself and it took forever before we figured out what was the problem. Hope that this gets all resolved soon!

Well, the MRI was clear. That is the good news. The earliest we can get in to a neurologist is August or September. That seems like forever but since it isn't life threatening, I can understand. But the family doctor is calling some neurologists personally to see if because she is still having some issues, does that warrant getting an earlier appointment. At least we know that much.

We aren't totally out of options at this point. The Doctor is still making calls, we can try Lubbock, or we can ask my uncle in Memphis to use his church connections to see what type of appointment we might could get.
From how it was described, if she has been a football player and this injury had occurred at the beginning of the year, she would be out for the entire season. While it is understandable that we want to see someone sooner, it may be that this brain is just getting over this severe concussion. But my issue with it all, if it was just a concussion, why did she have the seizure?
I definitely understand your worrying and your thinking. Hopefully it will get worked out soon!!!
Today I made some calls to Lubbock. The doctor is sending all of the information to that doctor. We may go on up to the Lubbock and just go to the ER so they have to treat us or wait a few days for the Doctor in Lubbock to look at all of the information and determine when he would see us. I don't know what to do now. But we have pushed our doctor quite a bit. I think we would love for us just to go to Lubbock and get it over with. He has been very patient though.
Keep pushing till you get the answers you want, Gae. Us Mums always know what's best. Still sending p & p from across the pond.
I was so excited today around 5 p.m. to get a call from the doctor here. The pediatric neurosurgeon in Lubbock will see my daughter on TUESDAY! Yes next Tuesday---not in August or September! TUESDAY!
