Passing of a close friend

On June 9th, 2010 around 7pm, a close family friend had passed away. She was 74 years old, and meant a lot to every person in my community. most of all, she was like a 2nd grandmother to me.


Iva Mae Stinson of Sellersville died suddenly Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at her home. She was 74.

She was the wife of the late Robert Stinson who died September 29, 2003.

Born in Sheppton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Paul Singley and Verna (Lorah) Singley Carr. She was a graduate of Germantown High School, Philadelphia.

A homemaker, Mrs. Stinson was active in every aspect of the Girl Scouts from 1972 until 2009. She served as a Girl Scout leader and as the Freedom Valley District Service Unit Director. She also organized and directed a Girl Scouts Day Camp. For her service to the Girl Scouts, a scholarship was named in her honor.

Mrs. Stinson was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sellersville.

there is so much more to say about her then what is posted above, to many, she was an advisor, a mother, a sister, a grandmother but most of all, a friend. Tomorrow is her services. I ask for prayers, to make it easier on my community, and my family since we were extremely close. At least she passed peacefully. they found her sitting in her favorite chair, with her tv on, all alone like she was just asleep.
