Bless your dog and bless you all. Prayers and pixie dust for your family and puppy
Thank you all - I know this is just a dog to some but I do make my pets be a part of the family. Abby will have surgery on monday to remove the tumor. The vet has lowered what they will charge for the surgery some. I do know that she has cancer and this may not get rid of it but I would like to try and give her more time with us. The other night the kids realized that this is serious. I will let the vet send a sample of her tumor off the Texas A&M vet school to be studied - this will let us know if it is aggressive or if we got it all. But it will also help her brother Tucker since they are from the same litter if any pop up on him as to what our next step will be.
Best of luck, doggies do become part of the family, just like your own kids.
P&PD coming across the pond for you!
hope the surgery goes well for the pup
Praying for a successful surgery and good news
Just wanted to let everyone know that Abby (my dog) made it thru her surgery today great. But the tumor was larger than the vet thought and so her incision is at least 9 inches long (length wise) but she is in good spirits wanting to jump up and kissing everyone. So we had to give her a pill to chill her out so that she just relaxes. She has double stitches so for the next 2 weeks its pain meds, ice, and lots of rest. We will know in about a week how bad the tumor (cancer) was. The vet is not sure if she got all the fingers but we have done our best and everything will be in Gods hands. But Abby is not acting at all like she is sick
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Continued thoughts and prayers for her!
Poor pup. Sounds like she rebounded quickly which is a good thing, at least for now.
I can't remember the last time one of ours had stitches. They super glued my man dog back together.
Side note, my Dad will have hip replacement surgery in a few months and the surgeon said he will super glue him back together too.
Hope she continues to feel good.
We're pulling for you guys!
Will find out tomorrow the results of the biopsy - vet called today but missed the call.
Puppy is doing fantastic. She just is to active for me - worried about the stitches. But she sure gives great kisses....she just feels better...this makes all of us happy.
Biopsy not good - We will only have maybe a year with our dog - they did not get all the cancer - she has stage 3 - and it is aggressive. We don't have the funds to do chemo so we will keep your happy and content.
I do love my dog - and the other two know that something is not right with her and they are always laying around her.....
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers -
Im so sorry to hear this, my thoughts and prayers go to her and the family.
