A little P&PD for DW and pup, please...

DW took our female black lab (Abbey) to the vet yesterday to have a growth on her side looked at. They are 99% sure it is an advanced, aggressive form of cancer.
DW is extremely close to this pup, and quite upset, of course. If there is nothing they can do, this will be the second of her favorites we have lost this way.
Just a little word to her, please, and of course, that her pup dosen't suffer.

This was really sweet of my husband to do - I'm really having a hard time with this and so are my kids...oldest DD is looking around because she really wants a 2nd opinion. This A.M. when I was leaving to go to work - she was laying on our tile by the front door and her brother was laying next to her - so I feel he is sensing something. We just have more questions than answers - I just want to know how much time I have...Thank you for your comments - my dogs really feel like they are a big part of my family just like my kids and husband are.

Ask all the questions you can. My dog died in 08 from cancer and when we brought him to the vet the day before he died the vet told us he had had cancer for at least three years and had never told us before... why I don't know but it really upset me. Hopefully you'll find someone that can do something for the poor doggie

Thanks I sure will - I always grew up with male dogs - but since I've been married this is my 2nd female and she is just the loving kissing face great you at the front door girl. She is my son's bed partner she is at the foot of his bed to start and by time in am to get up he is plastered to the wall and she has taken over the pillow and most of his twin bed.

aws they can be funny sometimes. My pup eats everything he can fit his mouth around! Hopefully all will work out ok for you and poor doggie.

Had to take the puppy to the emergency animal hospital last night - she now has to wear the collar to keep her from the tumor. It was confirmed that she does have cancer so my children are now believing everything. We do need to try and remove the tumor - the Dr. told us that it's not attached to any organs right now (thats good) and she still has some time left.
