wow that is rough... i volunteer at a hospital here and mostly work with cancer patients. I am sorry she and the rest of the family have to go through this.

My mother went through breast cancer a year and a half ago as well..

prayers are with you and herand the whole family!!!!

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. My prayers and thoughts are with them definately.

Every year, me and my friends do a race for the cure in Downtown Miami. It is a race for breast cancer patients. I'll make sure to keep her in mind when we do it this year.

I cannot begin to thank all of you for your prayers! Krista had an appointment with her oncologist and surgeon on Tuesday and the news is encouraging. The tumor is shrinking much quicker then they anticipated. It is already 1/4 to 1/3 of the size it was when she was first diagnosed. Her lymph nodes have also decreased in size. The doctor's are now thinking they may be able to proceed with the surgery as early as 2 to 3 months now as opposed to the 4 to 5 months that they originally set so that is great news! She been having a lot of trouble with her blood count levels, but she continues to battle on. Wednesday was her 5th chemo treatment.

Last week she made the decision to have her long, beautiful, blonde hair cut to donate to Locks of Love. She knew that with the chemo she was going to lose it and wanted to share a gift with a child in need. So I am very proud of her for that!

I know that she is getting strength from all the support and prayers that she is receiving. I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to include Krista in yours. It truly does mean the world to me.

I donated my "wedding hair" to locks of love. It was only 10 inches, but it took a while to grow!

I know it looks beautiful on someone else right now.
