Not trying to be the voice of doom, but I tend to side with the parents. Have the surgery, get it over with. Fix it and forget it. (I sound like an infomercial.)

While I know surgery sounds scarey....and any surgery has it's possible complications. This is a surgery that is done often and without difficulities, you should feel so much better when it is all done. Good Luck to you.

It has come down to this - SURGERY!

My pre-op appointment is July 10th and my surgery is July 19th. I will be out of work for about a week or so....

Thanks guys for all that. I am very nervous about all this. Almost wish I didn't have to wait, I think this part is the hardest....well, maybe not when I get home with my neck cut open....ugh!

Ok, today is the day. I have to be at the hospital at 7am this morning and my procedure is scheduled for 9am.
Most likely, I will not be online for the rest of today...I will try to check in with someone to post news about me once I am home, but I really can't promise anything today. I may not be able to talk for a couple of days, that is gonna kill me.
I will also be on some strong pain meds, so if I post something weird (well, weirder than usual), please understand.
I will miss all you, as I am addicted to this place.
I can use all the good thoughts I can get, so please send them my way this morning....
