    My cat.....

    I had to put my cat down today....she was very very sick. Diabetes, UTI, Kidney Failure.....she wouldn't eat and couldn't even stand up anymore. She weighed less than 6lbs.
    She is in kitty heaven now with Sasha, my other cat.....
    Nothing to countdown to, so just smile and be happy everyday!

    Thanks y'all for your kindness. This was not easy for us as a family, Susie has been with us for nearly 11 years. But in the last year she went from 12 lbs down to barely 6. She is better now and I know that.

    I still have my 3 dogs, but you could tell that they were sad this weekend and looking for the cat to bark at.....
    Nothing to countdown to, so just smile and be happy everyday!

    Sorry to hear about your cat. I know how it feels to lose one you have had for a while. My cat died this year because he had feline lukemia(aka AIDS) since he was born and finally passed on at age 7. So I will think about your cat and keep you in thought. Like others have said atleast he is not hurting anymore

    Lara.....I didn't see this thread since we were up North for the holiday. I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. Our Lab is over 12 years old and it is so tough watching him get older and starting to fail. They are such a big part of your life and family....thinking of you.
