Coronado is beautiful. I've stayed there twice. I went with my sister this year who has stayed at the Carribean and she thought Coronado was much better.
Hey everyone, my wife and I are staying at the Coronado for 3 days, the we were thinking of switching to the caribbean beach resort, any suggestions on which is better?

My husband and I stayed at Coronado Springs for 10 days and we were close to a bus stop, but did not care for the Pepper Market, it was a little confuising.
We honeymooned at Carribean Beach, so I prefer Carribean Beach over Coronado.
Enjoy your trip .. let us know how it was!!
I've never stayed at either, but we did just visit Coronado on our most recent trip. We went there to eat at the Pepper Market. It was OK...I didn't find it confusing as I've been to restaurants like that before. I was expecting smaller portions at the stations so you COULD go back for 2nds or something different (like the restaurant chain I had been to previously). You do get full meals and I thought it was a little pricey for what it was.
That being said, the themeing was awesome. It was large, but I didn't get the feeling that it would be too inconviniencing. There were CMs taking people around on golf carts. It was also very quiet on the grounds.
I would stay there, just not rely on the Pepper Market for every meal. The menu at the Maya Grill looked great!![]()

Eleven Visits Since 2003!!
Have never stayed at Coronado, but it doesn't really appeal to me with it being more of a convention hotel. We loved Caribbean Beach and will be staying there again in the future!
awesome thank you for all your advice! Since her company is paying for the coronado we are staying there for three and then switching to the caribbean to experience that! Thanks again,
Big Dan

Having stayed at both recently, I'd suggest Caribbean Beach. Better theming, less of the "convention" feel, etc.

I think Carribean Beach also. Good theming, and just an all-around great hotel, and I think a little bit better than Coronado Springs.

I haven't stayed at the CBR yet but I'm going this december. Coronado is very nice but it does have the convention feel. Having only stayed at Disney's deluxes before going to Coronadao, I has a totally different feel. It really misses having a lobby and interior hallways. The rooms are nice, good buses. It was late January when we went though, we were the only ones on the bus! The whole resort was empty, the parking lots were deserted. Cant wait to see the CBR! And I hope I can afford the deluxes in the future because they are what the whole WDW experience is to me.
There is no better WDW trip than the one that you don't pay for.

I hear many of you saying the Coronado has a convention feel. I disagree, to an extent. You can only tell if you're by the PepperMarket, which is right by the entrance to the convention halls. If you want to count seeing people other than cm's walking around with name tags. But when your walking around the resort or by the pools, you can't tell who's there for a convention.

Okay guys, I made it back and I have to tell you we LOVED coronado springs!! The pool was awesome and utterly amazing! The rooms were really nice and the overall layout was so beautiful! What an amazing resort...we loved it so much we stayed the whole time. The only downside was the pepper market, the food was not good! Everyting else was amazing and I highly recommend this place!

I'm glad you reported back after your trip. Sorry to hear that the food at the Peppermill was disappointing.
