what magic kingdom resort have you stayed in.or any other resort on property

In 98, mom, the boys and myself stayed at Saratoga Springs (mom had a conference) and in 99 (for another conference) we stayed at the POFQ. That was a nice resort!

This coming year (08) Michael (my oldest) and I are planning on staying at CB for a week. I'm so excited!

Do you mean the monorail resorts? OK, nevermind, I guess that wouldn't include the Wilderness Lodge. But at any rate I've stayed in all of them. We just stayed in the Wilderness Lodge for the first time last year and loved it. Also through the years we've stayed at the Contemporary (several times), the Polynesian (once) and the Grand Floridian (once). Oh I almost forgot we stayed at the Disney Inn, which is now called Shades of Green (I believe that is considered a Magic Kingdom area resort).

The POLY a number of times (our favorite) we did a split stay with the POLY and the Grand Floridian. We almost stayed at the Contemporary, we left around midnight. Long story!

I am about to stay at Contemporary for the first time! SO excited to be staying at one of the original Disney hotels. I stayed at Poly on my second trip to WDW (age 6) and don't remember much except the beautiful view of Space Mtn. We're in a Garden View room at Contemporary. Does anyone know if those are any good? I'm a little worried about not staying in the tower, but it was SOOO expensive!!

[Thanks to technology & a back-then savvy dad] I've watched the video my dad taped of the view from our room when we stayed at the Contemporary around '93. I don't have any clue where we were, except that it was a Garden View. Straight down was a main area of the parking lot, but all the trees were lit up so even that looked alright. At eye level though, you could see the castle. ^v^

Personally I just think the Contemporary is too... contemporary. Which is great I suppose, just not for me. If I'm in WDW, I want to live in fantasy. Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge... even POR is fun.

I've stayed at evey resort on property, every resort really brings its own syle and flair that is unlike anything around the world. Disneys resots are truly one of a kind.

I have visited every resort and seen inside the rooms of all the deluxe resorts.

I have stayed at the Polynesian, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Villas, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Swan, Dolphin and Pop Century.

I will be staying there this trip, we arrive on Tuesday, How did you like it? Did you walk to the Poly to get the monorail? Any tips?
