Resorts & Accomodations Discuss French Quarter in the Vacation Planning forums; What are your opinions of French Quarter? Is there a certain area I should try and get into?

The French Quarter is probably my favorite moderate resort.
All the buildings are fairly close together and its not a widespread resort. I'd say whatever building you pick you'd be in pretty close proximity to the pool, food court and bus stop. I stayed at the farthest building out once and I don't think I was more than a five minute walk from any of those places.
If the being next to the pool or food court was important I'd select a certain building then, but otherwise I think all the buildings are reasonably close to everything central to the resort.

I don't know I've never stayed there, I wanted to but I haven't. I sure wish I had a friend staying there I could stay with
It's my favorite moderate resort.

We stayed there in Oct and LOVED it.....hopefully I'll be returning there next November. I don't think many of the buildings are too far from teh entrance of the hotel....as it's one of the smaller resorts.

I loved it. My sister had a broken ankle and was still wearing her boot when we arrived so they put us in a first floor corner room very close by. It is nice and quiet. The pool is pretty cute with its little water slide, and I love the brick "streets". The food court is pretty good and they have a lounge with jazz music sometimes. It is nice to have the boat dock to DTD very close too. That is refreshing. My favorite thing would have to be the bus situation. There is only one station and it is very close to the front door- no hiking. You always share with Riverside but the buses pick up the French Quarter people first and almost always drop you off first too. It is beautiful.
Dreams Really Do Come True
I LOVE the French Quarter. I stayed there during Mardi Gras one year and it was GREAT! I recommend a room away from the pool as the pool can often get pretty loud. I also highly recommend the beignets in the food court for breakfast. When I don't stay there, I drive over for them!

we have not stayed there yet but are for sure going to next visit. weve visited twice and have absolutely loved the atmosphere both times. very quiet and peaceful. very pretty too. we took the boat to DTD which was nice and relaxing.
When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.
The HOT TUB!!!!!! I'd go to the F.Q. again in a second just for that hot tub! When your legs hurt from being at the parks all day, you sit in that hot tub [ outside near the pool] and it really unwinds you! Oh, and the beds are the most comfortable on Disney property.
Is POFQ the only moderate with a hot tub?
always plotting, planning, and looking forward to our next adventure...
I'm going to try this resort out on my next trip.
no think they all have one....could be wrong Riverside had one thats the only moderate I have stayed at
