I don't think so. I decorated mine in late August and the maids were putting the towel animals in every single window to go along with the display.
I read on a few other sites that Disney is not allowing guests to decorate their windows at any of their hotels. Has anyone else heard this? Is there any way we can get a confirmation on this? I was really looking forward to decorating mine in December.

I would guess that Disney would have reason to prohibit electric light strings or anything that plugs in to be used as decorations (fire hazards) or frown on things like window paint or markers (too messy to clean up), but signs or window clings should be okay.

I hope it isn't I want to put up Christmas lights if we go this year. I made signs. Maybe we should call before to make sure.

There seems to be truth to this rumor. Apparently fee's/fines.
From Mouse Planet with a full blog to follow.
…Some of our readers are complaining about an apparent policy change regarding window and room decorations placed by guests during their stay. Apparently the policy has the guests being assessed a fee for decorating their room windows. As a number of our readers enjoy decorating their rooms, especially for the Halloween and Christmas seasons, this is causing some consternation. We have asked Walt Disney World for the details of this new fee/policy as well as the reasoning behind it. It will appear on my blog when we receive it, as well as in next week's Park Update. Meanwhile, you can join the debate on our MousePad discussion forums.
If it's something that has a fee or fine they will have to give it to you in writing at check in. But I would call your resort managment before you go so your not taking extra stuff with you if this policy has changed.
We went there in late 2k7 and won't face any such issues. We did decorate our windows 3 days before christmas.
Another thread was started on this topic, however it has Disney selling packages to decorate your resort room. I am at a loss to figure out the direction Disney is going in with this one!

The window thing complaints seems to be coming from people that use paint/window markers to decorate the windows. It sounds like people have been going crazy decorating windows and leaving them for hotel staff to clean up. A lot of people that have had clings, stuff on the ledge, stuff hung up with easy to remove items (command hooks, suction cups) haven't been told they need to remove their decorations.
I've asked my DS to talk to his former roomie as he works the front desk at the Beach Club. Strange. Know one thing I wouldn't want to clean up window paint that is for sure.
I just got back from Pop Century about a week ago, and windows were decorated.![]()
