We've just booked a Studio in OKW for next September.
We have never been to this resort before and I'm really excited. :yahoo:
Does anyone have hints, tips and photographs they can share with me?
Thank you. :D

Here's a great site that has everything you're looking for, for each resort:
Old Key West Resort Fact Sheet
This site as well:
Disney's Old Key West Resort - wdwinfo.com
Thank you!
I liked my stay at Old Key West. Take the boat ride one night to DTD. Its a fun trip. The one negative is lack of a real food court of any kind. There is a window counter that has some food by the docks but nothing like some of the other food courts at resorts
Thank you. :)
What is the Store like? Is there a good selection of items?
I liked OKW. We stayed in building 11. It's close to the main building. The store is a little small. Was very relaxing there.
Thank you. :)
I stayed at OKW this past April...I absolutely loved it! It was really quiet, but didnt have that "I feel deserted" feeling....and the rooms are big, so that was awesome. My 4 year old brother got lost in the room..he couldnt find my mom or the bathroom, lol. Also, i like the buses a lot here. It didnt matter what park or time of day it was, there was always a seat on the bus. I never saw anybody standing, and we went at one of the most crowded weeks (Spring Break)....it was very convenient. I do have to agree about the lack of food choices, though. But that's easily manageable with the store. I would definately stay there again!
Thanks, LisaAnn. Good to hear about the buses being okay. :)
Hi there. My family & I have stayed at OKW for years because we DVC members, so it is our home resort. Check out my Google Photos link, where most of the pictures are of OKW. Even though my photos are for artistic purposes, it still gives you a sense of tranquility. I can't imagine being at any other resort because my family & I have been staying there. There are several pools at the resort (not just one main one), several tennis courts, a volleyball court in the sand, a playground, shuffleboard, and a recreation center to do your vacation workout (in case you go overboard). It's very beautiful there. The store is decent and has your typical Disney merchandise and usual personal items and food. You will love it, trust me. Hope that helps!
Thank you. :)
Your photos are excellent.
Just got back from a stay at OKW on Monday. It was the first time we had stayed there. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. We were about 1/2 mile from the main building which was a nice walk. It was a very laid back atmosphere. We had ordered groceries to be delivered to the room so we didn't have to trek back and forth. Bus service was very efficient and never crowded. Would certainly stay there again.
Thank you both for the OKW info. :D
M5ward - where did you order your groceries from?
We are DVC members and there is a grocery list available on the member's web site that has a large selection of food/beverage, etc. We fax them our list a couple of weeks before we go and it is delivered to our room on the first day. A great perk!
