    Thumbs up Beach Club Review

Hi, just got back from my first stay ever at the Beach Club and we absolutely LOVED the resort!

When we got to the security house, the gentleman handed us our parking permit and told us "welcome home". Well I was pretty much hooked after that! Valet took all our bags out, as soon as we entered the door a nice lady escorted us to the check in desk, check in took minutes. A gentleman met us with our bags and escorted us to our room and showed us all of the amenities. The room was beautiful, wonderful courtyard view. The beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Comfy and tons of pillows to get yourself comfortable. Towels are luxurious....

The lobby was decorated for Christmas, the gingerbread carosel (sp?) was beautiful. For three nights Mickey and Minnie came to the lobby to take pictures. We met with Art the Greeter a few times, pleasant and wonderful!!

The food court is a little busy but everyone was friendly and helpful with you getting your order and paying at the registers.

Everyone was so nice to us, we felt totally pampered and I felt completely like it was worth every penny I paid. I have a feeling this is where I'm going to want to stay every year...poor DH!!

If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them!

I totally agree! I stayed at Beach Club Villas for Marathon Weekend and LOVED it! I walked to Epcot, and the Marathoners ran right outside of our resort, it was great! I think I am going to stay here again next year! Oh, and Art the greeter is the BEST!

Glad you enjoyed your stay From what I understand the Stormalong Bay pool is closed for a refurb, is it the whole pool or are sections of the pool open?

From what I was told, there are certain sections that are still open, I'm sure somewhere along the way they will close the whole thing down to finish. I was sad I didn't get a chance to use the pool while we were there in December, but that just gives me a reason to go back again

The whole pool wasn't closed. The kiddie part and the deep current pool were open, so it was fine. It was actually kinda cool to see how they took the sand out and they were resurfacing parts of it.It was A LOT of sand that was piled up next to the pool! My guess would be that they wouldn't close the whole thing, but just do part at a time. We were also able to use the Boardwalk pool, but I never did that.

I agree! Ive stayed at the Beach Club villas before, and Im staying in them again when I go down in May. It really is a great resort! The pool is just plain awesome, and the resorts location is just so convenient because of its closeness to both Epoct and MGM. My mom especially loved this when we stayed there I believe 3 years ago because one night we were at Epcot, and my brother who was 2 at the time fell asleep in the stroller, and she was able to just walk him back to the room without having to deal with crowds and buses and whatnot. She was in her glory, lol

Stayed there for the first time this past October. Loved it. We don't mind walking so being able to walk to Epcot and the Studios was great. I loved the aroma of the lobby. Is that weird? I actually emailed them to find out what it was. If you're interested, it's called Mandarin Blast. Made by Ecolab. Unfortunately I found out I have to buy it in a 40 gallon drum! Oh well.

LOL!! Not sure what you would do with a 40 gallon drum of that smell...you'd have to REALLY like it!!

So glad you enjoyed it. It is a very easy resort to fall in love with, we did. We were lucky to stay there in June '06 for my daughters graduation gift from our friends. It is a beautiful resort, the lay out is awesome. I loved being on the Broadwalk. My daughter & I walked it everyday. It was nice to be able to walk to Epcot. I would love to stay there or the Boardwalk again. Thanks for sharing.

We stayed at The Beach Club last October for three weeks and it was awesome - the best time we spent at WDW ever.

I would highly recommend The Beach club to anyone... we will certainly be stying there on our next trip too!!

The Beach Club was very nice the one time I stayed there. I'd like to go back at some point, but I tend to prefer the Yacht over the Beach so our last few trips to that area have been at the sister resort.
    Upcoming Trips to WDW:

    Dec 6-10: Disney Wonder
Dec 10-19: Port Orleans French Quarter

We are trying to decide between the Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan or Dophin. Why did you prefer the Yacht Club over the Beach Club. I heard it was quieter????

You may be able to get better rates at Swan or Dolphin, especially for certain job professions (you would have to call for details, I forgot who was included in that catagory). Between the Yacht and Beach Club I liked the Beach Club better, it had a more New England/whimsical feel to it. Yacht Club seemed a little formal to me, it's just a matter of choice. But also the Beach Club is a closer walk to Epcot, especially if you got the wing I stayed in. From the lobby it was a pain to walk to our room, so many corridors, it seemed never ending. But the up side of that is that when we walked out the door, we just hung a left and we were fairly close to Epcot.
It's kind of fun to do the impossible!
