Port Orleans Riverside 5people in room?

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong, Is it Riverside that you can put 5 people per room, my husband and I, and two kids (small) are planning a trip next year and my mother is coming along with us. If it is Riverside, has anyone done this, is there really enough room for 5. Also what is the best location in Riverside? We would rather be closer to things; boat dock, bus stop, pool.. not to concerned with a "view".
Thanks for any help!!

I have a family of 5 and we only book 1 room on property. We've done this dozens of times with no problem. Just be discrete and don't parade past the front desk together and you'll be fine.

If you have small kids, you should be fine with Riverside. There isn't a lot of room for the trundle on the floor but it is doable. We stayed in Alligator Bayou and where we were wasn't too far from the food court and right near a pool.

Re: Port Orleans Riverside 5people in room?

My family stayed in Riverside in Dec of 07 with 5 people. It was my parents, my aunt, and my sister and I (we were 18 and 16 at the time), and we fit comfortable enough even though all of us were adult sized. There are two double beds in the room and one trundle that doesn't seem too big, but my aunt said it was fine.

You can checkout allears.net for resort pics and maps that will show you which room buildings are closest to everything. To me, it seems that buildings 14 or 27 have the most near them. 14 is closest to the foodcourt, main lobby, gift shop, and marina. The bus stop isn't that far and you have a quiet pool nearby. 27 is also very close to a quiet pool. The main pool, hot tub, and fishin' hole aren't far from it either.

Hope this helps!

Re: Port Orleans Riverside 5people in room?

My family had 5 people in a Magnolia Bend room (with a roll-away bed)
last July. We fit just fine.

We love POR. Have a great stay!

Re: Port Orleans Riverside 5people in room?

We stayed at POR May '07 and July '09 and found the bus transportation to be great. We never had much of a wait going to the parks or back to the resort.

The resort is beautiful. You'll have a great time.

My mom and dad are on the boat and I'm walking on the walkway between POFQ and POR.

Re: Port Orleans Riverside 5people in room?

The Port Orleans - Riverside is a fantastic resort!!

The rooms that sleep 5 have 2 double beds and a trundle bed. The trundle bed is very small, and best for a child up to age 10 or 11, I would think.

It is a tight squeeze, with 5 in the room, but since you are not in the room a lot of the time - it seems to work fine for most families!!
