Airport Hotels?

Hey all.

My June plans have changed due to airfare cuts at NorthWest Airlines. BUT my on property res. was already set, so I need to score a one night hotel room for a party of 5. We have a 6:00 AM flight, so I was thinking about hotels near MCO. Does anyone have any good experiences out there?

Re: Airport Hotels?

Our nephew just spent a night at the Marriott by the airport. He seemed to think it was OK. He does a lot of travel for business and it's one of the hotels on the company list.

I've never stayed there, and I don't know how much it costs, but there's a hotel right inside the airport. Can't beat it for convenience obviously, but it may be a noisy night, and I'd guess that it's expensive. I think it's a Hyatt.

I ended up having to take a slight detour en route to WDW last year. At the last minute I had to go to LA for work and ended up taking the red-eye to MCO rather than flying with the rest of my family from Boston. Since I arrived much earlier than everyone else, I got a room in the Hyatt and was able to get about 4.5 hours of sleep before the rest of the crew arrived around mid-day. Once you're "inside" the hotel it was very quiet and there is really no indication that you are in an airport. I didn't hear a peep and I was sleeping during peak travel times (about 7am - 11:30). I would highly recommend it.
