I stayed there back in Oct. and I loved it. I enjoyed the foodcourt and the lobby very much. For the price jump for what you get at the next level of hotels I would say staying at Pop Century is the way to go.

While it is not our favorite value, Pop Century is a lot of fun.

My only advice is this... take the time (one evening after dinner, or one afternoon when you can take a break from the park), and truly experience the resort. There are some really neat things to see, and the true magic of Disney World is the attention to the small details.

This would be my advice for any resort, but especially Pop Century.

We just got back. We loved it. Food court was awesome, lobby was cool, and walking the whole property was worth it.

My family and I will be staying there in November. And from what I've read about it, they do have laundry facilities there.

You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.

I believe the laundry area is beside the computer pool, near the 90's section.

Absolutely, there is a laundry at the computer pool, with vending and change machines.

If I remember correctly, there is also a laundry facility by the bowling pin pool as well.

We stayed here 9 days on our honeymoon. After a two night stay at AKL, we definitely noticed the difference as far as ammenities went ( I missed the feather pillows and Adam's back started to hurt as the week went on) but the sacrifice was worth it in our opinion for the price. Really can't beat it.

I hate to burst a happy bubble but I was eating at the food court recently and they replaced the Icee machines with choose your own tea and flavor machines. That made me sad since i still have my refill cup and use it when i am visiting the resorts.

I love POP. It is hands down my favorite of all the values.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the decades, but if you are looking to be closest to the food court you will definitely want 50s 60 or 70s.
However we were in 80's last year and I didn't feel it was that far at all. I actually preferred it because it was much quieter in that section and the pool was rarely ever used.

We are staying there again in 19 days, hoping to try the 50's this time.

The bus service was fairly quick in my opinion and it was nice that it only picked up our resort and headed straight for your destination. I believe the other values share the bus meaning they may stop at another resort after picking you up if the bus is not completely full. Or it could mean you are the last stop at the end of the night.

POP is one of Disney's best decisions for resorts. We stayed in the 50's section on our first stay, and in the 70's section on our second.I always want to face any area that is furtherest away from the noise. We stayed on third floor, facing hourglass lake.Definitely, check out the lobby.Look at all of the stuff in the glass cases on the wall.Hang out in the gifr shop.It is tied together with the Everything's POP food court. The gift shop is much bigger than the allstar resorts gift shops. The food court is great!Tons of foods to pick from.Definitely try the tv dinner and the chicken noodle soup, and the shrimp lo mein, itcomes in one of those chinese take-out containers. All of these items WILL fill you up.Take a walk around the grounds and check out all of the themed decades in each section. Each section has hidden speakers in the landscaping, and plays music from each decade in each section of bldgs. We went in the 50's pool, which is shaped like a bowling pin.Don't forget the arcade, and play some games.Get a card, load it with money and swipe your card to play games.Hang out by the pool, but not near the alcoholic hut.People sit around there and smoke,YUCK! And YUCK to the alcoholic drinks too!
Have a great time.Wish we could be there with ya.
