go with the poly the resort is great and and if u want to eat at kona cafe the food is great. Its an all around great resort.![]()
I personally would pick the Poly.
The Contemporary resort rooms have had a major renovation recently - and they are just fabulous -- they are just not very Disney. When I stay at a Disney resort, I love all the little Disney touches and hidden Mickeys. It took me until the morning I checked out to find the very small Mouse head print on the couch! And that's all I could find!
The cheaper rooms at the Contemporary are in the Garden wing - which is nice and quiet, but a bit out of the way. The rooms in the main building (tower) are in a prime location, but I have had some clients complain of noise from the Monorail and Chef Mickey's if they are on one of the lower floors.
The theming at the Poly is just out of this world - as only Disney can do!
PS - the Contemporary does have a bar - so no need to worry about that!

I like 'em both. My last stay at the Contemporary was fantastic. I love the modern decor and I'm a ****er for the WDW nostalgia the ignites when I see Grand Canyon Station and Mary Blair's tiles. But overall, I like the Poly better for the atmosphere and the slightly campy Adventureland feel.
