| Poly or Contemp Assuming I don't go moderate, I've never stayed at Poly or Contemp - if I go deluxe, which should I go with - Polynesian or Contemporary and why? If it helps in your answer I'm looking to plan a trip in late Sept / Early Oct |

| Re: Poly or Contemp They are both really nice. There location is really nice with the monorail. Poly has a bar but Contemporary does not have one. If I had the choice to stay at one of these I would go with Poly because it is really nice and relaxing. When I stayed there we were located in the Hawaii building which has a really nice view of the Castle.

| Re: Poly or Contemp This probably won't be much help to you because I love both hotels. I stayed at the Polynesian back in the 80's as a teen, twice and LOVED it. My last trip was in 2006 at the age of 34 and I decided to stay at the Contemporary because the hotel had facinated me since I was 10 years old and I had always wanted to stay there. I enjoyed my stay at the Contemporary more than I was expecting to. Loved the pool, bars, restaurants, especially California Grill. And the price tends to be lower then the Polynesian. Another bonus was being the 1st stop of the monorail hotels when heading to MK or TTC in the morning. I will say, I am saving up for a trip hopefully in the next 18 - 24 mos. (it will be my reward after losing 150 lbs) and I am planning on staying at the Polynesian. When staying at the Poly you don't feel like you are in the middle of central Florida. Both are a fantastic choice, but if forced to choose I guess it would have to be the Polynesian. |

| Re: Poly or Contemp Do you book your own? Or use a TA? When we booked our trip for Sept. of the MK resorts, the cheaper of the 2 was the Poly. (Grand Floridian was the cheapest, but I liked the look of the Poly better, and it wasn't that big a price difference.) Of course it may just be the Contemperary fills faster, which left more of the cheaper rooms @ the Poly by the time we booked? You really can't go wrong w/either - but get a good TA to help you get the best possible deal.

| Re: Poly or Contemp Are you going to spend more time at Epcot or at Magic Kingdom? The Contemp is closest to the MK, while the Poly is a short walk away from the TTC - thus making Epcot a short monorail ride away.

| Re: Poly or Contemp this is easy in my mind The Polynesian has the Contemp beat. Far superior theming. Better dining. You can walk to the TTC for a trip to Epcot |

| Re: Poly or Contemp I stayed at the Poly in Oct of '07. I loved it. I'd go back in a heartbeat. But I've also wanted to try every resort Disney has...so I want to try the Contemporary some day. Though I think I'd only want the Contemporary if I could stay in the main building (or let's face it...BLT!) I'd go either really, but the Poly is great!

| Fastpass Holder | Re: Poly or Contemp Although the poly theming is good, when we were there in Jan 08 the service was poor, no greeting when we arrived, no attempt to help us take our bags to the room, broken door at Tuvalu, poor housekeeping.

| Re: Poly or Contemp We stayed at the Contempo and didn't like it too much. It had too much of a cold feel to it although that is pretty contemporary so I should have known better. I like the lush feel of the Polynesian although we've only visited the grounds, we've never stayed there. I like a more tropical, warm feel to a resort. |
