hotel help- off resort

i have never stayed off disney property before.. we always stay at disney. but this time we are going as cheap as we possiable can.. which means el cheapo motel... which ='s no disney property lodging.

i dont care about too much.. besides, trying to find a close, clean, safe hotel.. nothing shady like crackheads in the alley behind it...lol

anyone have any places they have stayed at and were ok places to stay.. i dont need anything fancy.. because we dont use the pools, or anything like that.. were going to just need it to sleep at because we are doing the parks the whole way.

wanting cheap....lol the hubby says we cant go unless i show i can get it cheap and it not mess up the finances at all.. so i need cheap room and tickets

Try the Super 8 on Irlo Bronson. It received a good review in the Unofficial Guide for very little cost.

I've stayed at HoJo on 192 next I 4 about 8 or 9 times. Its older but clean and cheap and has a hot tub. Its only 1 1/2 from the entrance to wdw. Another is the Travel lodge on 192 next to that big ol orange in Kissimmee. Was cheap and clean. Do not stay at Old Town Suites GARBAGE they should be shut down

We have stayed at every Hotel Plaza Boulevard Hotel throughout the years. Royal Plaza has always been good to us, Grosvenor (Now Regal Sun) was adequate, The Best Western was adequate as well. I would personally go for Royal Plaza since you are pretty close to Downtown Disney and you can score really good discounts. However, if you keep an eye out, you can get Buena Vista Palace for 99 bucks a night quite often and it has the best pool area of all the HPB resorts by far.
