It's a small building to the side of the tower. There used to be 2, but bay lake tower took the place of the other one. They have a lake view and not MK. If you want to see MK you won't be able to from this part of the resort.
I checked into a AAA or Chase Discount with Disney for the Contemporary and the came up with a Garden View in the Towers connected to the Contemporary?? What is this? I booked it then changed my mind because it wasn't what I wanted. I want something high so I can see MK as well as the electrical parade on the water at night. I usually only rent DVC points but seeing were getting back busy and as a kid I always wanted to stay there I though I go ahead and do it in Feb or May trip?? Any thoughts on what I want or what that 3 story tower is?

The only way to see the Magic Kingdom is to book a "Magic Kingdom View" room in the Tower.
The Garden Wing is a two story building with views of only the main building or Bay Lake/waterway to Bay Lake.
Careful. A garden view there can be a view of a bush and a parking lot just beyond that.
The Contemporary is so close to the main entrance I would save the $500.
It's at the last stop on the monorail that goes right thru the hotel. Or you can walk it. From the hotel to the main entrance is a 10 minute slow walk and then another 10 minute walk down Main Street.
We've seen the fireworks from in front of the Castle, top of the Contemporary and as well from our room balcony at the BW. They're all a bit different though the BW is a bit away.
I think the Halloween commentary at the top of the hotel was quite loud and distracting.
