Bonnet Creek Resort

We decided to try Bonnet Creek for our trip in May.
I know this is not an Official Disney resort but was curious if anyone has stayed there before and had any good or bad experiences. We have 6 day stay in May. We only stay in the park for about 3 or 4 hrs a day in the park so we are looking for a nice safe place to hangout and read ,workout, swim and sleep.

Re: Bonnet Creek Resort

Hi, tmntrans. We stayed in a 2-bedroom condo in Bonnet Creek about 2 years ago. I have nothing but positive things to say. The resort is beautiful! Everyone there was very friendly, just like WDW cast members. The condo was absolutely gorgeous, the one we stayed in was brand-new at the time (a friend had gifted us with their time-share points) and had every amenity we needed. There is a shuttle that takes you to the TTC and runs frequently.

There isn't any theming like a Disney resort, but we did not miss that (we didn't travel with children for this particular trip). It was great having 2 bedrooms and a spacious living area, a full-size kitchen, dining room, flat panel TV's in every room, a huge whirlpool tub in the master bedroom.

Here is a link to my trip report from that vacation, there are some pictures of our condo in there. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Hope this helps!

Re: Bonnet Creek Resort

Thanks for the reply. I do remember reading some of your report back then. I 'll let you know by PM when the rental agreement comes in. I always was curious about that place. My daughter and I decided we're going to sneak in Jan 2 thru the 4th also. Probably stay somewhere on property and check it out then too.

Re: Bonnet Creek Resort

My wife and I took a "courtesy tour" of the Wyndham Bonnet Creek timeshare resort. (With a "courtesy tour," you don't get any freebies, but you don't have to commit to two hours either.) The resort's location "within the arches of Walt Disney World" is their biggest selling point.

The access road to and from Buena Vista Drive is not necessarily all bad news for Disney.

It's likely that relatively few WDW guests will elect to dine at the hotels of the Bonnet Creek Resort, but the guests from the Bonnet Creek Resort's hotel rooms and timeshare suites are dumped onto Disney property to spend money at Disney's theme parks, water parks, other attractions (such as Cirque du Soleil), restaurants, and shops. Because the Bonnet Creek Resort (especially the Waldorf=Astoria) caters to people with more money, these could be quite profitable customers for Disney, even though Disney isn't getting any of the hotel revenue.

Regards,

Re: Bonnet Creek Resort

I was jusy curious about it.. I met a marketing agent the other day at the Chiro and he explained a few things about it. I hope it does feel Disney or this will be it and I'll be back in October in AKL. Spending money really not a problem there. We usually eat at the same places but try 1 or 2 new places (i.e. this trip Boma and Yak and Yeti)Thanks for you reply.

Re: Bonnet Creek Resort

My grandparents stayed at a one bedroom this past summer. We were staying at SSR, but went to visit them several times. The room was really nice. The pool looked really neat and I loved the lazy river they had. Parking was hard to come by, but that may have been because of the construction that was going on at the time.
All in all, I would have no reservations about staying at this resort.
