Cinderella Suite Break Out!
Okay, here's an odd thing that's been on my mind for a while now. What kind of security is there around the Cinderella Suite after park hours, in keeping the guests IN their suite? In a regular Disney hotel, a guest can walk the grounds whenever they want and return to their room whenever. But I imagine with this suite you have to stay put the night. Have there ever been any details about this? I mean i can't imagine you could sneak out of the suite and sneak around the Magic Kingdom in the middle of the night.
Re: Cinderella Suite Break Out!
i would think thats a great big no..
Re: Cinderella Suite Break Out!
I remember seeing a show about the overnight stay in the castle and they put it as gently as they could but made it clear that guests would not be leaving the castle until morning. Not sure how they enforce that, but I'm sure there are some CM's in the building for the night also, to make sure they are comfortable.........and to make sure they don't get outhttp://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...hotos/jail.gif:grin:
Re: Cinderella Suite Break Out!
I noticed the windows are painted so the guests cannot look out at the park.
Re: Cinderella Suite Break Out!
A Magic Kingdom Guest Relations Cast Member is scheduled a shift to work overnight at the suite to address any needs that arise for the guests who stay there. I have friends who do this.
Re: Cinderella Suite Break Out!
I've wondered about this too.
Is that true though that you cannot look out into the park? Doesn't that take about 80% of the fun out of it?
Re: Cinderella Suite Break Out!
I was about to say "who would want to walk around in the freezing midnight air watching the crews hose streets down"... but then I remembered that about 95% of the membership fits into that category...!
Re: Cinderella Suite Break Out!
One of MEI/Mouse Fan Travel's agents won a night in the suite at some conference. She got to take 5 of her friends with her and she of course chose Beci, Annette Owens and a couple other agents from the agency. They talked about their experience on WDW Today Show #792.
Episode 792 - Castle Suite Stay - WDW Today
Higlights -
- All of the windows are stained glass and therefore impossible to see out of. Except on small piece of glass that is clear. Apparently you can't see a whole lot.
- There is an elevator that takes you to the suite. It is only accessible by a cast member. Guests get a special room key, but it only opens the door to the actual room.
- That door is monitored by cast members who will apparently meet you in the hall if you open it.
- Guests can go in the park after hours. With an escort. For only a short time.
- The agents got a cool photo of the 6 of them standing in front of the castle, wearing the big fluffy robes that you can use in the suite. Before park opening.
- Apparently the bathroom is spectacular. Especially the tub.
You guys should listen to the show. Their giddyness is fun and definately shows their excitement for getting to stay there.

Ooooohh... To get a chance to take my camera into that park with no one else around. It's the stuff of fantasy! :)
A girl can dream.

I'm afraid I might feel a little claustrophobic.

We (my hubbie and I) took pictures of an empty Main Street USA when we did the Steam Train Tour last September. It starts at 7:30 so the park is empty and then you take a private train ride around the park and see the whole place without any visitors.
Its one of the very few tours which actively encourages you to take photo's behind the scenes :coolpics:

The entire suite is amazing. We got to do a tour of it during the D23 Magic and Merriment event in December 2010. There are 3 mosics on the walls surrounding the tub.

Sorry the picture isn't great I was using a new camera. I joked with my b/f that we would have to do Magic and Merriment again so I could use my old camera and get better pictures.
The elevator held 10 people and the castmember, but it was tight. Since my b/f uses a power wheelchair, we let them go up then come back and get us, so that way at the end of the tour it was just us and the cast member. We didn't want to leave.
