Specific Room Buildings?

Hi ya'll. My friends and I are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter at the end of September.

Is it too late (or early) to ask if our room could possibly be in a specific building?
When do you make that request?

I know already that asking for it does not make it guaranteed, and only that they will try.

Make that request as soon as you make your reservation. I would also call maybe 2 weeks before you go down to confirm it and then mention it again at the front desk.
