Disney announces plans for the old concept phase 2 of Pop.

This time they are announcing an anticipating opening in the
Summer of 2012. We will see if it actually happens this time. *sigh*

It certainly sounds nice. I wonder if it will be priced like a value resort or more like a moderate. I know for families of 5, this would certainly be a more affordable option than a deluxe.

Yup, if this is priced right it is our only option for an affordable stay on property. I have three daughters. The oldest is 11 and the youngest is 4 so we have to have two rooms at Pop, a Family suite or a room in a moderate and up. I'm not spending $200 a night for a Disney room when I can get us a room off property for less and work out the sleeping arrangements.

I guess that means they will finally open that side of the Generation Gap Bridge. Should be very cool to cross over into another resort instead of only being able to see an abandoned one.

they havent decided what they are doing with the bridge yet... seems kind of off if they dont finish the bridge but i guess they wanna get the resort complete first...

im just a bit confused on the suites... i had heard that the only standard rooms would be in the Little Mermaid section while the other three will be predominantly family suites... can anyone confirm this to be true...?
