    All Star Music questions???

    Hi!
Need help. We are going to be booking very soon.
We have never stayed at a value resort. We chose the music.
We are a family of six and are driving to the World.
Is it worth the extra for the family suite or should we get 2 rooms?
We do need a fridge. If we get 2 rooms can one room be a king?
Is there no coffee machine in the reg. room? Has anyone brought
a little coffee maker in the room? Need my coffee!
We would save about $200 if we do the 2 rooms not including the fridge.
We chose music because it sounds like they do activities at the pool for the
kids and night movies. Any other values provide this?
    Thanks!!

I'm not much help when it comes to deciding on rooms -- but -- good choice on value resort. We stayed at the Sports last year and were much happier with the Music. The pool seemed bigger, the games were fun (Toddbreakey, his wife and I won Music Trivia!) and the movies seemed to have a great turn out and a good mix between new and classic films) I think you'll enjoy it!

well, there are no coffee makers in the regular rooms. I can't see why one of the rooms couldn't be a king, but I don't know if they could be connecting or if they would guarentee them being right next to each other. I have stayed at the family suite, there were six of us all grown ups, the bedroom has a one bed, not sure what size it was. in the living room the couch puled out a chair pulls out and the ottoman. to me the chair and the ottoman were pretty much cots. Not real comfortable but not too bad either, I slept on the ottoman cot. maybe they would be more comfortable to kids. You didn't say how many nights you were staying but a fridge I think cost $10 a day in the regular room and I don't think would be as big..so you would have to add in cost for fridge and convience of having a coffee maker and coffee there. Hope that helps

Disney's description of the suites says that have a mini kitchen. Whatever that means. You might call them and ask what comes is in the mini kitchen. Frig or what have you?

    Re: All Star Music questions???

We stayed at Music in April where we got upgraded to the suite. If memory serves me right we had a small fridge, a coffe maker, and a microwave. Don't quote me on that though. The plus for us though was the two bathrooms. Very handy. I think the bed was either a double or a queen, I am leaning toward double. Since I don't know how long you are going I can't really voice an opinion on price difference. We went only for the weekend and would probably do it again for just a weekend. Have a great time!!

    Re: All Star Music questions???

We have stayed at Music many times and usually get the Family Suite. We have two girls (18 & 24) and along with my wife, makes two bathrooms a "must" if we want to get to the parks on time to do anything !! Ha Ha. We like the Suites and the mini kitchen has a small fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. The master bed is a queen size. The couch pulls out into a full size bed and there are two chairs that convert into single beds. The kids usually sleep on those and do not complain !! Hope this helps !!

    Re: All Star Music questions???

We booked ASMusic Sunday night with 35% PIN code discount for May 22-28, 2011.

I received 2 PIN code emails and 1 PIN postcard in 5 weeks and vacation approved 5/22-27 for a staycation. When I got the 3rd PIN, we figured we'd go for it. By the time I called Disney Sunday evening the only Value available for PIN code was All Star Music.

We wanted Pop but after reading this topic I'm not so concerned.

We booked a standard room. We're driving down so we can take our own coffeemaker, cooler and ice, etc.

I've heard nightmare stories about the All Star buses. Anyone have current experience with All Star bus system? It's just DH and me so we don't mind waiting a bit for buses. We can always use our car, but we're hoping to leave the driving to Disney if we can.

    What's ASMu food court like?

Without a clue about ASMu, we requested a king bed rooom in the Broadway Section.

Pop is the only Value I've stayed at ... I'm totally clueless about All Stars.

We're keeping an eye out for [possible] May AP rates. If we can get into Pop for a comparable AP rate, should we go for it?

Any info on ASMu will be very appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Re: All Star Music questions???

I like Pop best if the values
Broadway is one of the building farthest from the foodcourt buliding, I like Jazz
I haven't stayed there in a while so not sure how the bus service is lately, but I never had a problem
