Greatest decade resort....

Ok I got to find out if this has be discussed before.

I stayed at the pop century resort and across a foot bridge which was obviously closed, (although it was a beautiful bridge!!!!!!,) there was a resort which the main area was constructed.
I did not risk being WDW-Banned for life by going into a restricted area but I was curious. Now i have seen that there is some video on the web of it. I have heard they train transportation drivers there int the parking lot.

Just curious and want to see whom has any links to media about it.

It was originally planned as Pop Century's "Legendary Years" Resort (1900-1940), but developement was, supposedly, halted after the tourism fall-off of post 9/11.
The developement has now been reinitiated as Disney's Art of Animation Resort, scheduled to open summer of 2012.

And I think the bridge was originally called "Generation Gap Bridge", or somethin' like that...not sure what they'll call it now.
They should have a bridge renaming contest...I have a few ideas...!

The bridge is still called Generation Gap Bridge. Its a great place just to relax after a long day at the parks. I have pictures from the room I had at Pop when we stayed in June and from the bridge. I will post them once I find them.
