Hotel suggestions in DTD area?

We will be arriving the night before our check in date at PoP and was wondering if anybody could suggest a nice, yet inexpensive hotel to stay at close to the DTD area. We are hoping to be in the area by late afternoon or early evening and would like to get some shopping in at World of Disney, plus we will need to activate our AP's. Open to any and all suggestions! Thanks!

As far as an official Downtown Disney resort, the best for the money (around $100 a night) are the Grosvenor Resort (www.grosvenorresort.com) and the Lake Buena Vista Resort (www.bestwestern.com). During this time of the year, that's about the cheapest you can find without doing a lot of digging and discounting.

I agree about these. I have had friends stay at both, but the Grosvenor is a wee bit better according to them.
