How to best request a specific room at a WDW resort?
Hi, everyone! So, I'm still in total all-out plan mode. I am taking a trip with just me and my 6 year old daughter. We are staying on property for the first time in ages, so I'm new at this again.
We are staying at Pop Century and I want to request a specific area. Obviously a six year old is too old for a stroller, but I would like to keep extra walking to a minimum as much as possible to maximize her enjoyment and minimize fatigue. Being near the bus stop would be great, if possible. Is it OK to call and request a room or building near the bus stop? I know it can't be guaranteed, but will they put a request on our reservation?
Thanks for letting me know. Sorry I sound so clueless, like I said, I haven't done this in a long time!

Yes it is. i called the hotel directly and I asked for close to the bus and eating and they were able to accomodate me with both. Have a great stay.

definatly call and request it!!!! they will note it on the ressie and more than likely you should get it, plus you can always mention it when you check in. i totally understand with a smaller one, being close to the bus and main building is best.
are you doing the trip yourself or are you using a travel agent?
i just have to say, mei/mousefan travel has awesome agents and they take care of all that kind of stuff for you, all the nitty gritty. and they are free!! i love my agent jan!

Hey, Jamie! I booked the trip on my own for several reasons (see pre-trip report) like that we didn't need park tix and I found an awesome rate on hotels.com that even Disney reservations said they couldn't match. I will call the hotel and put the request on the room, I actually really love doing this stuff. The more I can talk to Disney people the better!
Thank you so much for the idea, though. Keep all the tips coming!

We like Pop Century also and we usually just pay the extra $$$ for a preferred room. That way you're guaranteed a room close to the main building. I really wouldn't know how you could get any closer without paying for the preferred location. :inquis:
