Beverage Coolers going into Value Resorts

All-Star Movies Resort – Beverage coolers installed in guest rooms from January 23 to March 16. The installation takes place one floor at a time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Guests notified via an in-room flier the day before the work is scheduled to take place.-Mouse Planet

Interesting that Disney is going with beverage coolers vs refrigerators.

Probably 'cause "beverage cooler" sounds sooo much "hipper" than "refigerator" and, lets face it, they look "cooler" too. :wink:
I see mine filled with a plethora of various malted adult beverages. :-D

Wonder where the, likely "hidden" (or not), room rate hike is though...? :inquis: :cool:

That, because looks like it would fit the "theme" better...plus, they're smaller, easier to install than hauling a refrigerator in (even if it's a microfridge)

At least that's what I would assume.

Yep, like I said, looks "cooler" ("theme").
Unless things have changed since my 3-year-ago architecture career, no more or less complicated to install than any UCF (Under Counter Frig.) as we labeled them on drawings.
Don't think (although I could be wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time :wink:) they've ever had any full-sized at any of the values.

Do you all know if this is for all the Value Resorts? And if these are included in most rooms or do you have to request them like the mini-fridges? I'll be staying at Pop Century in May, so if we have one of these I can bring a smaller cooler.

They are starting with Movies first on Monday. Like every other upgrade they start with one resort and move onto the next. From what I understand they will all get them.
