Contemporary Garden Wing Room Reservations?

A few years ago, we stayed @ the Contemporary Resort in the garden wing. While I was on the WDW vacation planning website, I could not find any rooms available in the garden wing no matter which dates I selected. Since the timeframe I was looking at and the month (October) are not typically extremely busy times, I wonder if they block out these rooms for conventions?

We really loved our ground floor room in the garden wing and wanted to stay there again. Does anyone have any suggestions?:sherlock:
