Help...

i know this is a silly question, but have any of you watched fireworks from the Contemporary Platform? Do they play the music? Is it a really good view? Is there another place I should look at going (not in the park, the group can't afford to go to the party)?

HELP.. I am normally IN the park for fireworks. All comments are greatly appreciated!!!

Paul...I do not know about the Contemporary, but they used to pipe the music onto the beach at the Poly and the view from the beach there is great! Plus you get to watch the Electrical Water Pageant as well! Maybe a member who has more recently stayed at the Poly can confirm that they still pipe the music for the fireworks to the beach...

They pipe the music up on top of the contemporary. I'm not sure about the beach but I'm guessing they do. I know they play it on the beach at the Grand and disneydreamer says the poly too so it would make sense at the contemporary.

They do pipe the music to the Poly's beach, but only on a couple of small speakers you have to find and sit near to hear. The Poly's beach is also supposed to be for Polynesian resort guests only, but they don't always enforce that.

What about standing just outside the entrance to the MK, like by the resort boat launches or the ferry dock?

I was thinking about that being right in front of MK but we would have a hard time with viewing them that close behind the train station!!

You could try and time it right to be riding either the monorail or the ferry for the fireworks. That might be neat.

I had to go back to Chris & Kristal Carlson's Disney on a Dime to confirm it, but you can watch from the TTC, near the loading dock for the ferry. The music is piped in there. They also say the view from the monorail platform outside MK is pretty good.

It is a great view from the Ticket and Transportation Center right after you get off of the ferryboat, but I don't remember hearing the music from there.

I'm quoting the book, though I think it was playing there last May when I was trying to get over to MK in time but didn't quite make it. It may not have been from a speaker right at the dock, but in the TTC complex.

The dock at the Grand Floridian is an awesome spot. The music is piped to Narcosee's right next to the dock and the view is spectacular.

I've watched the fireworks from in front of MK bc we were going back to our hotel(pop) from dinner at Grand Floridian. The view was good and it was cool bc there arnt normally a lot of ppl in that area and we were right there to leave for the bus. I just couldnt help myself and started dancing along w/ the music bc there was enough room. Some people mighta thought i was weird but i just had to(considering i was wearing a skirt and longer ones make me want to dance lol)
