We have never actually stayed in an WDW resort hotel!!

On our last three visits, we always stayed in Kissimmee, near by, at hotels which provided a free shuttle service to WDW.

This way, we didn't have to pay for any parking but also, in an evening there were plenty of places to visit and places to eat at.
Next year we are staying at the recently renamed 'Buena Vista Palace' on the edge of DTD. (It used to be the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa). This hotel has just changed owners and has ''Official Disney Status''!!

    HMM!! Only two on property

    May 2004:Animal Kingdom Lodge
    November 2004:Polynesian
    December 2005:Polynesian

As far as trips before we always stayed offsite.
As far as the bang for your buck the AKL is great the buses ran find no problem. Great themeing but a little to dark inside. As far as price per night I think if you catch a good discount you are doing good. We stay like 3 night and it cost me abut $800 then we wen to my mom timeshare the rest of that trip

The Poly is great because it save you money on the rental car. Wasn't really crazy about the buses to this resort because it picked up at all the MK resorts as opposed to the other resorts were they are just for them only.As far as price it a lot regardless of what time you go. Let just say you paid for the conv. of the Monorail.Great themeing here as well.

Many times off site, I work and have worked for many of the hotel chains and get $25-$49 rooms with my employee discount.

Next trip, Comfort Inn LBV, just around the corner from DTD- $25 a night!!!

But the best on-site resort by far was Vista Way.

Never heard of it? thats where the WDW college programmers live (along with Chatham square and the Commons). I stayed there from 01/27/97-5/30/97.

Wow, 10 years since I was a CM... it seems like yesterday

GF was nice but at about $300.00 less per night, I think we will enjoy the SOG just fine!

All of the All-Star Resorts. Very nice. Only thing I don't like about them is the proximity to the Magic Kingdom.
Celebrating Walt Disney's birthday all month long with some of my favorite Walt Disney avatars. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALT!!!!
