Hi! I am going to Disney in a few months and wonder if any one has any thought or comments on the Beach Club resort?

My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon a few years ago. We LOVED it so much we bought into the DVC and have the Beach Club Villas as our home resort. We love that it is so close to theme parks (Epcot & MGM) and that the Boardwalk is right across from us within walking distance. The atomosphere is quaint, but family filled. The pool is awesome! Beaches & Cream is one of the sit down or walk up (to go) restaurants. They have great ice cream desserts! Try the Kitchen Sink! :)
The rest of the parks and Downtown Disney are fairly short bus rides. Usually we only share a bus with the Yacht Club and the Swan & Dolphin Resorts. We find the Beach Club very relaxing. Our families also agree on the entire resort. They love that it is a short walk to the bus stops and a short walk to Epcot. The cast members there are also really good! If you have any questions please feel free to send me a private message and I will be happy to help out.
I can't say enough good things about the BC and BCV - theming, location, restaurants, pool, views, etc. Definitely one of my favorites. And yes, Beaches & Cream is worth making the trip over (PLEASE send me a "No Way Jose'"!)
gotta love it. Pool, location, enough said.
This is MY FAVORITE of all WDW resorts. Ok, the pool is the highlight. Make sure you take your children to it! Ok, well, if I didn't have homework, I would give you a review. I'll try to tonight. It's amazing!
Ok, here's my review
Feel the breeze on your face and relax in the massive pool! Welcome to Disney's Beach Club Resort. It is the 2nd half of two sister resorts: Yacht and Beach. Good times are in store here most definately. Here's what there is to do...
Recreation
Pool - Stormalong Bay - This is, by far, the biggest pool you have probably ever seen in your LIFETIME!! Guests of both resorts can enjoy this enormous, 750,000 gallon wonder-pool. The pool includes, sandy bottoms, bubbling fountains, whirlpools, a life-sized shipwreck, and an enormous water-slide that takes you through a shipwreck, forests, and quite a few waterfalls.
The Ship Shape Health Club - This place is available with a steam-bath, sauna, and massage. It also includes weight and aerobics rooms.
Marina - This marina has access to practically all boats in the WDW fleet.
Beauty and barber shop
Two tennis courts and a volleyball court.
Restaurants
Cape May Cafe - A New England style clambake buffet
Crew's Cup - Select beer and ale from around the world.

Martha's Vineyard Lounge - A quiet, intamate lounge setting.
Conveniences of the Beach Club

Within walking distance of the Boardwalk Resort and all it has to offer.
Guest Services
Wi-fi internet access in the lobby and Convention Center
Valet Parking
Room service
Business center offering copying, faxing, packaging, shipping, and more.
Multiple merchandise locations offering groceries, souveniers, collectibles, art, books, apparel, and accessories.
One thing to add to Disneyfreak's post is the walking distance to MGM!!!! (5 -10 minute walk depending on pace)
Oh I didn't know that one. Well, there ya go.
We love the Beach Club. You can see Illuminations from your balcony if you are on the right side of the building. If not, just walk down to the pier or watch from the beach.
I've spent time over at the resort and I love the whole area over by the International Gateway..I really think you can do no wrong by staying at the Boardwalk, or the Yacht and Beach Clubs.
