    Question about POTC

    i just finished watching both movies, and i really enjoyed them.... can somebody tell me if the new pirates of the Carribean ride is more scary, or whats different... thanks
    Iv been ON space mountain when the lights were on!!! not in line...i was ON THE RIDE!!! I know your jealous...

    I wouldnt say its any scarier, they just added alot of new elements and scenes from the movie. A few scenes with Captain Jack and Captain Barbosa is now on the ship that fires over you. And of course the Davey Jones effect.

    It's not scarry at all for aduts, my 2 year old didn't like the Davy Jones fog FX. But, after that he loved the ride.

    only thing that i couldn't stand about the ride was at the start all you hear is "dead man's chest, dead man's chest" for wat feels like 5 hours well maybe not the 1st time but after that you're like .......don't think i wanna go again.

    The Davy Jones fog effect could be scary for wee ones. The additions from the POTC movies are great, btw, Johnny Depp is very realistic. The DL version is longer and scarier (more caverns, skeletons, etc.) IMO.

    If you haven't seen the second movie will you be lost? I started watching it... I got to the point where Davy Jones wins the little game against the Turners and then went to bed. I was supposed to finish watching it the next day but didn't.

    I don't think so. Really, the only addition from POTC II is the Davy Jones fog effect before the drop. The animatronics are spectacular, but I'm kind of a purist and liked the original ride storyline better.

    the only thing changed that i know of is that the talking pirate skull is replaced with Davy Jones. the animatronics were just added. they did not replace anything
