    the ring was never a part of the attraction! it was a post they took out and that was what was left over. calling it a "ring" is something Cast Members would do, just as they moved the plates around in the dinning hall to make a "hidden mickey"

    NOOO!!!! Maybe they had a reason for it, they wouldn't remove it for no apparent reason,or maybe it was a accident.

    I've been back to WDW to ride the HM about 8 or 9 times since they re opened it after the refurb, and didn't see the ring, but in reality I wasn't looking for it. does anyone know if it is still there, i know for sure it was there in june before the refrub
