No More "ring" Outside The Haunted Mansion

Sadly they have covered the "ring" at the exit to the Haunted Mansion. These pics were taken on Saturday Jan 27th 2007.

That's too bad cause it was a neat story.

That stinks that they took it away. I always enjoyed telling people that were with me the story and how the rind ended up there. Ah well, guess I will have to find some other way to awe my friends when we go.

Your first story is correct. The "stone" of the ring was actually the tip of a screwdriver as they tried to pry the pole out, but it broke off instead. It was after it was left there for awhile that the story about it being an engagement ring developed. This was something that was pointed out on the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

That was a great story to tell people. I was lucky that I got a picture of the "ring" on my last trip in September.

I guess I don't understand why they felt the need to fix that spot. I can't imagine it was hurting anything. Does anyone know how long it had been there?

Erich2010... What do you mean they didn't? I don't know how they would have removed the cement type material they put over it... are you saying the ring is not covered and they is visible again? I took those pics less than 2 weeks ago.

Can you post a more recent picture for us?
