Very interesting. I can see Disney's point. Too bad though, it would be cool to see the park in the middle of the night when the place is being touched up. There must be enough in the suite to keep you occupied though. Are pictures allowed?
I am sure that I'm not the first person to know this, but since it's something I learned today, I figured I'd post it:
I learned that .....the families who stay in the castle during YoaMD can *NOT* see out of their windows. From any other spot in the park, the windows in the suite look like regular windows (you know, lit up... ) But as it really is, those windows are "trick" windows, with pics of Cinderella and what not on the windows, so the people inside cannot see out. The "secret" is that this is done so that whomever may be staying in that suite cannot see the Magic that takes place overnight or in the wee hours of the morning, while it's happening. That way it is a suprise to them, too.![]()

There have been so many pictures taken by the media that I can't imagine that they wouldn't allow pictures. Besides, how could they stop you from taking photos? That is interesting about the windows. It would be cool to wave to all the "little people" down below or wave to the lucky stiffs inside.

What will you celebrate?
Adult daycare for the kid inside you.
There have also been many pics posted here, so I imagine that pics would be ok... (from the inside, like you asked). I, as an adult, think it'd be neat to see all the little bits of Magic going on (you know how we like watching all those "how they do it" types of shows... but for my kids, I would not want them to see it![]()

According to the CM that works with the families who have won the suite - he told us that they could see out a few windows - into Fantasyland. He also mentioned that they are not locked inside the castle at night - they can come out if they want. They also have people there to take them around the park after it closes for a mini-Keys to the Kingdom Tour.
It always amazes me how Disney thinks of everything in their plan. There are so many incredible little details that other parks would totally ignore.

Ah. I was wondering what they were going to do about that. I work in a theme park and I can imagine that it would actually be pretty shocking to see it as it was being worked on, all the bare bones exposed. Not in a really bad way, just with the work lights on, and seeing the janitors, gardeners, maintenance guys working away...it might be cool to see, but its really less glamorous than you'd think, even at Disney.
It would be fascinating to stay there for the night. I can't imagine what it would be like. I am not sure I would even be able to sleep. I would want to run around and jump and act like I was 5 (not much different than any other night I guess)!
When I was there last week, the CM standing at the door at check-in time (3:30) was explaining to me how people had won. The oddest one was at Downtown Disney when they picked the fifth person to drink from a particular drinking fountain!
Another day had three guys staying there (toga, toga, toga!) and yes, they asked if they could bring beer.
Two other winners from DD were 7 years old. He also stated that to this day (Feb2) most of the winners had been picked at DD for no apparent reason.
Boy, that would be a fun job!!
