We saw the Palm Tree at DAK when we were there in Nov. Took me a few minutes to find the guy operating it. That thing scared the water out of both of my daughters ages 4 and 1.5!!
Adam - correct me if I am wrong - but when we were there for Amanda's first trip a few years ago - didnt the talking trash can in tomorrow land scare the begiezes out of her!![]()
Maybe it scared me and I am just transfering my pain...
Hi Todd!
Beth - Yes it did. She did not like that thing at all. When we went again after we moved down here, the trash can was poking fun at me, and she really enjoyed that. I guess if it makes fun of daddy it is ok.![]()
To be conscious that you are ignorant is a great step to knowledge.
That is great -- and the truth!

btw - the walking, talking tree in front of the Animal Kingdom is known as Wes Palm. He took my wife's hat on our last visit and tried to give it to other guests. After you find him, go inside the AK and try to find De Vine. You can't miss her - she's the walking vine.
Keep your hands and arms inside the post at all times and remember no smoking or flash photography please!
If you go to Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK, be sure to look for Pipa, the talking, dancing (!) recycle bin. He's a trip. I got to dance with him last March.![]()

I have always tried to look for the people operating these things and can not find them. How far away are they?
I've seen the Wes Palm guy (in his bad "don't look at me, I'm just a tourist" shirt) usually within 10-15 feet, so I'd assume the same holds true to the trash can people.

Well it can't be as bad as the guy from the Indy show at MGM. That would stick out. I will be looking out for him now though.Originally Posted by AKQJ10
If you are far enough from Push the guy might hide behind you. I have seen him a couple of times. the first being the day he used my mom as a "cover". He has a microphone that os kinda hard to see and the back is at his wiast.Originally Posted by AKQJ10

my friends saw the trash can for spring break last year, but they said that they thought there was someone inside the can (a little person?) who was talking and making it move!![]()

My kids love Push in Tomorrowland. They always wear their GoH pins so "he" (or "She"?) always calls them by name. Our badges were purchased during the 25th anniversary when they put your hometown on them too so we are always asked about new york! It's neat!
