You mean the ones that link Adventureland to Frontierland? Right across from Swiss Family Treehouse? Anyway,to DWT!!!

Splash is my favorite line in MK but i did not know of any short cut to it. I usually take the train it's much faster and most of the time get's there before any body else.
there are bathrooms within the splash mountain area, but they are after the ride, the photo stop, and the store... i think that the only way from there to the front of the line is with a cast member escorting you for accessibility issues...
I want to know also. We always head for BTMRR first and there is hardly ever a wait first thing. Got to be in that last car!!![]()

Actually, Mickey T, I think you are confusing two seperate paths. Frontierland and Adventureland connect in three locations, and while I believe the "shortcut" to which Wayne is referring is the breezeway with the bathrooms just across the Swiss Family Treehouse which will pop you out right at the border between Frontierland and Liberty Square, there is another, lesser known connecting point a few more steps down the road which will pop you out right in front of the Country Bear Jamboree. I think you were mixing those two up.
If you are looking for that route from the Adventureland side, head towards Aladin's Magic Carpets and head around the side that the Agrabah Bazaar is on, and as you stand facing the Sunshine Tree Terrace, on your right will be a little ramp area that leads down to the entrance of the Country Bear Jamboree in Frontierland. It's smaller and less known than the one with the bathrooms for some reason, and will drop you off further into Frontierland than the bathroom one will.
The reason Magic Kingdom has so many of these little "shortcuts" between the lands is because Disney World was supposed to be an improvement on Disneyland in CA in many ways, and one of the flaws in Disneyland was that it was originally designed and built without any connecting points between the lands (or so I was told on a tour here in MK... I haven't actually been out to Disneyland to verify this). In order to travel from one land to the next you had to retrace your steps back out to the central hub in front of the castle and then branch into your next land. So when Magic Kingdom was built, pathways were made connecting each of the neighboring lands in at least one location, and sometimes more. In the case of Adventureland, when Magic Kingdom opened there wasn't yet any attractions located past the Enchanted Tiki Room, so Adventureland just ended there. This is why there is the pathway next to it which leads into Frontierland. Once Pirates and the Caribbean Plaza portion of Adventureland was added on, a third connecting point around the back of Adventureland was also added so that people would not have to backtrack again in order to access Frontierland from the Caribbean Plaza area.

Thanks! I know exactly the shortcut you mean. It's the one that comes out between Country Bear and the Shootin' Arcade. I had to look it up on my map to understand it. It's funny, I never thought of the breezeway coming out near Country Bear. It never occured to me that Country Bear was back to back with Adventurland. Like most, I always went straight by Pecos Bill. I'll give it a try next time.
Thanks again.
